Thanks, today’s Google doodle! Now I know about this: Gumbasia, The very first stop motion clay animation movie, from 1955, by Art Clokey, ” a pioneer in the popularization of stop motion clay animation” (Wiki). It’s pretty impressive. Especially because it hasn’t got a clear narrative span (as far as I can tell). So it’s Art and it’s History. Enough intellectual potential for you? Anyhow, here it is:

P.S. Has anyone got Disney’s Fantasia on DVD? I need to go (get stoned and) watch that some time soon again.
P.P.S. Elke zei het vandaag en het is waar, dus men kan het maar net zo goed weten: muisjes (voor op je beschuit) ruiken naar geluk. Of, geluk ruikt naar muisjes.
